Filter Servicing:

There are many types of pond filters which we service. Most filters do not require maintenance too frequently, however there are many factors which can vary the frequency required. Heavy fish stocks can cause silt which clogs pumps and filters so we base the maintenance on stocking levels and types of filter being used. We cover most spare parts for most manufacturers.

Blanketweed, Algae And Silt Removal:

Algae is caused by direct sunlight and the build up of nitrates and phosphates. Regular water changes will reduce the toxins and ther are many algae treatments currently available. Blanketweed can choke pumps and is manually removed. Silt is vacuumed or pumped from the pond, keeping a cleaner environment.

Plant Management:

Plant management is necessary to reduce siltation and prevents the pond becoming over run with plants, this can cause pumps to clog and results in more regular maintenance. We usually trim the plants in the autumn when they have finished their growth period.
